We traveled through Burgundy region of France couple of years back. While in Dijon, we stayed at the romantic yet historic chic Grand Hôtel La Cloche built in the 17th century. Burgundy region is known for its fine wines, mustards and black-currant liquor called Cassis. I brought back a perfect souvenir - Cassis in a cloche shaped bottle to remember the region and the hotel! How perfect to come across one of the best recipes to use Cassis. Barefoot Contessa‘a Chocolate Cassis Cake is decadent. I think it’s a cross between chocolate truffles and a rich brownie. Ina made it with Giada on an episode “Cooking with Giada”. She served it alongside with raspberries and strawberries macerated in sugar. Book:
