Greek In My Garden

My lovely garden has abundant herbs growing - Greek oregano, thyme, rosemary, mint, dill, basil, sage, tarragon, ginger, turmeric, lemongrass, sweet curry leaves.....

Tonight’s dinner is “Greek”! It’s simple using plenty of these herbs.

Greece has AMAZING food. Ingredients are undemanding and dishes are rustic. Greek Lentil soup called “Fakes” is made with green, brown or red lentils. Drizzled with some olive oil, some vinegar and a chunk of feta cheese on the side - it’s so Delicious! Zucchini, dill, parsley and Feta “koftas” as we say in India are called “Kolokithokeftedes” They are crispy, herby and go perfectly with creamy cucumber raita “Tzatziki”

Next to try making will be saganaki and moussaka!

Sending love and hugs to you our friends in Greece - Lisa and Andreis. We miss you so much

“Kalinikta” and be well all our beloved friends and family!
